      Description

I do love this area of the Moon and luckily, I have been able to capture it a few times with good seeing, however in none of those ocasions had I captured it in color.

And whenever I am going through the Geologic Moon Atlas or Mineral Moon photos of this area, I cannot avoid thinking of the so many tones and differences from ejecting rays, different composition maria, higher lands,  anorthosite from the crust, volcanic ashes, and the effect of the so-called KREEP rocks, which have high contents in potassium, rare earth elements and phosphorus.... all of these elements make a wonderful palette that I had to try to capture!

The image itself is a mosaic of 6 images composed of 1000 best takes out of 50000 captures each (at around 148 fps). The result has a decent size and resolution enough to benefit from full screen display, which I recommend in order to wander and wonder on the marvellous features of this area.

I hope that you like this color impression (yet another one!, sorry in advance! ) from the Moon!
