Description

Imaged the total lunar eclipse on the morning of November 8, 2022.  This is a compilation of six images beginning at 4:06 am when the partial eclipse began until 5:37 am during the period of total eclipse.

Imaged with an Astrotech AT60, 2.5x Televue Powermate, extension tube from my 5x barlow, and Nikon D750.  The focal length of the imaging train was ~875 mm.

Each of the images is a single shot with exposure ranging from 1/2000 s to 5 s at ISO-1600.  Processed in Pixinsight:  local histogram transformation, color saturation adjustment.

Image 2 (top middle): 4:36 am
Image 3 (top right): 4:55 am
Image 4: (bottom left): 5:11 am
Image 5 (bottom middle): 5:16 am near the time when the total eclipse began
