Description

Observed on 28 April 2022 at the Texas Star Party with a 22” Obsession UC Dobsonian: This globular cluster is large and spread out with a core that is not highly concentrated. Some of the outer stars can be resolved. Very nice to look at. 

Note: Extremely rich in variable stars. Large number of blue stragglers.

Distance: 33,925 LY
Type: Halo Globular
Position w.r.t. core of galaxy: Directly above the sun.
Any stars resolved: Yes
Undergoing Core Collapse: No
