Description

ARP23 and NGC4625 are like sisters. They appear as mirror images in their peculiar twisted form. A close look reveals a faint continuation of the spiral structure around NGC4625. The two interacting galaxies are also known by the names "Holm 438" or "KPG 349".
The small galaxy between the two large ones is PGC2177330. There are also a few mini galaxies in the picture.
The Stars are from the Newton.

The transparency and the seeing was quite good during the recordings.
The composite image with the RC (F= 1624mm Mono) was actually richer in contrast/sharper than with the Newton (F=800mm OSC).
