Description

While the seeing was terrible, there is no detail, and I am sure I can improve my technique in the future, I am happy to say that I finally imaged Uranus for the first time on my Celestron C8.   I have only seen Uranus one time when it stumbled onto my field.   One interesting thing is because of light pollution in my backyard, it is very hard to find things that are not next to any bright constellations or stars.  I basically squared up my phone to my finder by placing it on the dewshield, and used a phone planetarium app to guide my telescope like a free Celestron Starsense Explorer.  It got me within range of my eyepiece, then I could center in the telescope.  Imaging Uranus and Nepture was one of my astrophotography goals this year,  I hope to image the rest of the planets this year.

3 subs of 15000 frames, reduced to total  5000 frames in pipp, then 50% stacked in Autostakkert, not sharpened (no detail to sharpen)
