Description

This main galaxy is located in the constellation Virgo along with a host of other galaxies such as NGC-5569 and NGC-5580. There are many smaller background galaxies scattered around. According to The Sky X (TSX) there are at least 26 background unidentified galaxies in this image FOV. Maybe with more data they will become more obvious...This initial image has been taken over a month's period with only 2 days of usable sky so it's a bit thin yet. The images are all 20 minute exposures and so far only 11 luminance, 10 red, 16 green, and 9 blue frames have proven to be usable with good data. I hope to yet get more on this prior to going to the NEAIC/NEAF conference this coming week.

This image as is typical for all my astro images is processed in Pix Insight and may be tweaked slightly in Photoshop CS5 and or onOne for web presentation.
