Description

This is my take on the Soul Nebula (IC1848) shot with my Vixen ED103S using a mosaic of 1x3 images.  I've shot and posted this before but that image was all in one shot with my very wide field Redcat51 telescope.  My Vixen has just over 3x the focal length of the Redcat so I get a much better detailed image all at the expense of FOV.  I used the mosaic feature in NINA to set up and shoot this over the past 3 days where I finally had some clear skies.  I'm liking the nice detail in the clouds, especially in the lower half.  I show that there were 36x300" subs to create this image.  That is the total amount of subs stacked to make the final image.  Since there are 3 tiles to make the image I actually shot 108 subs total which is why it took so long.  I was also multiplexing imaging in the evening sessions as the Soul Nebula set below 30 degrees around midnight but at that time I then switched to image M64 which I'm also posting.
