Description

Veil Nebula NGC6960, NGC 6979, NGC, 6992, NGC 6995 (Combination of Western Veil Nebula, Pickerin's Triangle, Western Veil Nebula). This nebula is the remnant of a massive supernova explosion of a relatively younger star 20 times massive than our sun. Pre-historic human must have seen a very bright star visible in the night and day time suddenly appearing in the sky.
Veil Nebula is visible during the summertime in the sky. 2400 light years away from us. Its diameter is 3 degrees or 110 light years about the size of six full moons across.
