Description

I took some unhortodox choices in processing this image, first i didnt stretch the faint outer area as much as i could, most images i see out there do that but it kind of destroys the depth of the object as overstretching the outer shell flattens everything - this target has a quite "dramatic" 3D effect that i wanted to retain. Also  the HA was processed in a very peculiar way - most images i see out there just stitch the HA on top of the OIII data which results in a very unnatural effect - checking the hubble images of M27, the HA emission areas seem very much blended with the OIII, resulting in a more convincing feel - so essentially to try and get the same result i went through several cycles of HDRMT/Local histogram equalization to highlight the bright areas so that those would merge with the OIII once the data was combined. I think i managed what i wanted to achieve, still not 100% satisfied as the details on the outer area of the spherical shell are a bit too soft,
maybe i will reprocess later on

Here is a comparison between a crop of my image (on the left) and hubble, with due proportion i think i managed to do a decent job

This was taken with an RC12, Omegon 571M, CEM120, optolong narrowband filters 20h HA, 30H OIII
