Description

'What do you expect?' he murmured, 'Time passes.'

'That's how it goes,' Úrsula said, 'but not so much.'

When she said it she realized that she was giving the same reply that Colonel Aureliano Buendía had given in his death cell, and once again she shuddered with the evidence that time was not passing, as she had just admitted, but that it was turning in a circle. (One Hundred Years of Solitude)

Regardless of whether time is linear, relative, circular, spiral, Borges’s mesh-like, or multi-dimensional, I am always moved for grasping the moment of flowing time. For me, astronomy is connected with literature: both are an exploration out of the everyday world, both possess an ancient power and the awe of eternity. I think it is my great honor to be able to record the history of the cosmos amidst the noise of human voices.

I still encountered various problems this trial. ST4 was broken, so guiding became impossible. After that, the Dec board did not respond for an hour, delaying the actual exposure to about three o'clock. The astronomical twilight in Chongming started at 3:30. I took a big gamble to take RGB until 4:30 so that at least one hour of color exposure could be accumulated. Yet the battery went on strike after ten minutes and I was only able to take 1 exposure for each RGB channel... During the exposure time of GB, thin clouds was covering M27, causing the overwhelming red noise in the picture and making white balance a tragedy. But anyway, this is the first near-successful HaRGB picture!
