Description

Hello all,

This past weekend I stumbled upon that rarest of convergent fortunate circumstances - waning moon, decent temperatures (-8*C, no wind, not so horrible), weekend Saturday with no work the next day, and astro friends ready to go do some imaging.

M33 is an iconic "large" galaxy, widely imaged, and named for Monsieur Messier's 33rd cometary disappointment.

I went after this galaxy as I had only limited time on it from last year.   I hoped to improve upon my previous try - and the big chip of the 2600 mc pro helped preserve the sense of isolation in this one.

Wiki ->

 "The Triangulum Galaxy is a spiral galaxy 2.7 mly from Earth in the constellationTriangulum. It is catalogued as Messier 33 or NGC 598. The Triangulum Galaxy is the third-largest member of the Local Group of galaxies, behind the Andromeda Galaxy and the Milky Way. The galaxy is the smallest spiral galaxy in the Local Group (although the smaller Large and Small Magellanic Clouds may have been spirals before their encounters with the Milky Way), and is believed to be a satellite of the Andromeda Galaxy or on its rebound into the latter due to their interactions, velocities, and proximity to one another in the night sky. "

Anyway, I hope you like this.  I used GAME masking in PI to process it.

However if you do look closely, you can see NGC 604.
