Description

The end of Dec. was kind with some very clear nights. Had three that I took advantage of, and this is from two of the three nights.  Lower's Nebula, is a Hydrogen Alpha emission Nebula located in the upper area of Orion, near the Gemini constellation. The nebula covers about the same apparent area in the sky as a full Moon. The nebula is named after Harold and Charles Lower who discovered this nebula in 1939.
