Description

SH2 115 is a fairly faint region of chaos in Cygnus which contains the planetary nebula PLN 85+ 4.1.  In broadband color it is a rich sea of red. SHO filters completely change the landscape. This attempt is about 25 hours total duration with QHY294M. Used 180s subs for Ha & O3 and 300s subs for S2. S2 is about 14 hours of the total exposure duration. Image is at 674mm focal length using the SW Esprit 120 @ F/5.6 with a TS 0.8 reducer. Guided with a small 60mm SvBony guide scope. Because of the incredibly persistent summer heat which often stayed near 35C at midnight all subs were acquired at a camera temperature of 0C.

The SHO combine was done with non-linear masters with color shifting in Photoshop and also PI color masking.
