Description

An additional 5 hours of exposure was added to my last photo, which makes the whole exposure time of this famous nebula to reach more than 12 hours. Long exposure of the powerful 1000 mm Chilescope T1 telescope revealed unimaginable details of the this magnificent universe wonder: Giant cloud and dust column several light year in height is being reshaped by the radiation of the new born suns of a thousand alien worlds, project its shadow downward and form the shape of a horsehead. This scene remind us of the moment when our sun breathed his first flame billions of years ago.

Furthermore, a binary star was revealed by this image, the companion star of Gaia DR2 3216469053418858496, as dim as magnitude 21.5, can be found in the horse’s mouth. This star is not show on most star charts and even not in Gaia database, I have only found it once in an image of Hubble space telescope, maybe you guys can tell me the name of it.
