Description

The Bug Nebula is predominantly a southern hemisphere target.  Where I live in the southern U.S. , its maximum altitude (at the meridian) is at only 22 degrees.  At this very low altitude I had to deal with neighbor's trees, more intense surface light pollution (Bortle 7/8 skies), heat convection off of roadways and rooftops, and a much thicker atmosphere.  It was a challenging target.
