Description

A few clouds, seeing was fair, the air relatively calm but high altitude haze persisted.

Anyway, the reason for getting up at 1:00AM was for roughly measuring the effective magnification factors of two tubeless 1.6x and 2.0x "nose piece barlows" when attached between a Baader Clickstop ( as visual back for the C8 ) and the 1.25" nose piece of an ASI290MM.

Measuring the diameter of Lacus Mortis in pixels I found that the approximate magnification factors, being 1.2x and 1.4x, respectively, all within the range of meaningful image scales. Captured through a standard 2x barlow with tube the lunar features should be over twice as large as compared without barlow (native FL=2030mm). By "eyeball" I'd say it fits.
