Description

The Tulip Nebula (Sh2-101). It is an emission nebula located in one of my favorites constellations: Cygnus.

This nebula lies at a distance of 6,000 light years from Earth. It is also close to a microquasar Cygnus X-1, one of the first suspected black holes. It is located to the left of the tulip on this image, we can see a faint blue arc which is a bowshock created by a jet of energetic particles from the black hole.
