Description

M42, the Orion Nebula is a massive combination of very young stars embedded in swirling clouds of gas.
This image was taken in one night using a narrowband H-alpha filter. because of the brightness range, the images is made with 3 layers. The inner core consists of 130x10 second exposures. The middle is made from 60x60 second exposures and the faint outer portion used 13x 600 second exposures.
