Description

The Helix Nebula is a planetary nebula (PN) located in the constellation Aquarius. It is not only one of the brightest near-Earth planetary nebula in the night sky, but it is also one of the most famous. The Helix nebula's unique appearance has earned it the pop culture nickname of "The Eye of God."

Deviated my usual process here to reduce the guiding errors clearly noticeable on most stars. Used this process from Steve333 to repair elongated stars with great results.

Preprocessing in PI:
- WBPP
- ImageIntegration

Processing in PI:
- DynamicCrop
- DBE
- NoiseXterminator
- LinearFit Oiii using Ha as reference
- GHS
- PixelMath to create SHO image
- SCNR
- LRGBCombination using Ha as luminance
- TGVDenoise
- ACDNR
- StarXterminator

Stars:
- SCNR
- CorrectMagentaStars
- HistogramTransformation
- PixelMath to create shifted image using linked guide
- PixelMath to create repaired stars
- Convolution to remove artifacts from PixelMath processes
- CurvesTransformation

Starless nebula:
- CurvesTransformation
- LocalHistogramEqualization using RangeSelection mask
- MLT to slightly sharpen
- DarkStructureEnhance
- ColorSaturation
- Final curves
- Rescreen repaired stars back into nebula
