Description

From Sadr to the Crescent Nebula in the constellation of Cygnus.

The Crescent Nebula, NGC 6888, bottom right, is an emission nebula (mainly in Hydrogen alpha) about 25 light years across and is 5000 light years away from Earth. The whole area is abundant in hydrogen alpha nebulosity.

Sadr or Gamma Cygni is the bright star at top left of the image and it forms the intersection of the 5 main stars in the Northern Cross asterism.

Messier 29, M29 or NGC 6913, is an open star cluster can be seen in the left lower half of the image located about 5,900 light years away.

Acquired on 29 Sept 2021 from Bortle 5 back garden Ioptron Skyguider Pro no guiding, Redcat 51, EFW filter wheel, EAF focuser, ASI 1600MM camera
- 32 x 120s Ha
- 36 x 120s OIII
- 10 x 60s each of LRGB for stars
~ 3 hours in total
