Description

NGC 1365 is a barred spiral galaxy about 60 million light years distant in the Fornax galaxy cluster. Including its two outer spiral arms, it spans around 200,000 light-years. This galaxy is best viewed from the southern hemisphere and is a popular astrophotography target due to its spectacular structure. It also is known as the Great Barred Spiral Galaxy
