Description

Sincerely, I do appreciate the crucial need of clouds and rain, but not 300 days a year. Last night too was extremely humid, thin and thick clouds crossing. The heater tapes paid off. Mosquitos enjoyed my blood for a late dinner or dessert. Apparently, though I am not the first prize, I am still sweet and delicious. Copy that!

Thanks to the fast Sammy lens, the area around the Bubble nebulae was unveiled in 42 minutes at  f/2.4 though faintly. A nice wide field as long as you do not zoom in. Under a raven-black sky some 40 minutes can unveil a lot more with less walking noise, but whom am I telling this?

The HII region at 2 o'clock position of the Bubble in the center of the image is the Lobster Crawl Nebula. No calibration applied.

Collaborators were a cone of ice cream, a stray cat on my lap and my dog Ken guarding the scope and watching the cat. A hermit crab at one tripod leg did the dithering. Saboteurs were mosquito- and water clouds, guess which I like less.
