Description

Catalogued as probably the most massive and prolific star-forming region in the Local Group of galaxies, this stellar swarm resides between two of Andromeda's spiral arms, the proximity being the probable reason for the copious amounts of star births. The inset image is courtesy of Jurij Stare.
