Description

When I finished imaging the Helix Nebula tonight I decided that I was going to look for Comet C2018 N2 ASASSN

again. However rather than doing visually like I've been doing the past three nights I decided that I would

instead key in the Right Ascension and Declination for the comet into my hand controller and ask the mount to

slew to those coordinates. After the mount did it's slew I took a test image and Comet C2018 N2 ASASSN was

in the field of view of my image. This is the forth night that I've tried to find and image this Comet and I

finally got it done. The image isn't spectacular because the comet is relatively small and dim. However I could

see a tail on the comet in all of my raw frames and I was pleased with that. I looked in my eyepiece but I could

not see the Comet in my eyepiece. It's a dim object and my eyes are old. To say that I was tickled to finally

find this Comet would be an understatement.

Description: I reprocessed some of my comet images today just trying to get a better image and bring out the comet as much as I could. I think this image is an improvement over the original image when it comes to visibility of the comet. I also think there is improvement in the star field. However the changes are subtle.
