Description

This work complements the one started on May 27, 2021.

As a reminder, it concerns the resolution of the granules that line the surface of the Sun and wishes to highlight the need to use an instrument of diameter (and therefore resolution) sufficient and to benefit from a high altitude so that the SEEING does not come to limit the instrumental resolution...

This last test, carried out in the mountains, shows a much more pronounced granulation phenomenon.

The first shot, made with a 200mm instrument, has sufficient instrumental resolution and actually reveals granulation, which is nevertheless highly blurred, probably by a poor SEEING index at this altitude of 42m.

The second cliché, meanwhile, reveals a much finer and contrasting granulation. The instrumental resolution, there, was able to express itself fully, without suffering any limitation due to SEEING.

In addition, the use of a blue filter reduces the bandwidth around 430nm, also improving the result.
