Description

For those of us in the northern hemisphere, there is something special about Polaris and the North Pole.  It is the only sky object that I see every night, while polar aligning.  It is the most reliable of sky objects,  always up there in the same place each night.

Through the eyepiece, the North Pole region seems to be devoid of much of anything except a few stars.   I wasn't sure what to expect when I pointed the RASA in this direction.  But sure enough, some dust, clouds and dark nebulae are present here.
