Description

This is the beginning of that I expect will be a long-term project to try and tease out as much detail and contrast as I can from what is one of the more interesting but challenging objects I've come across.

These two galaxies are obviously in the process of colliding, but are so incredibly distant that you can barely make out any detail, even at 2400mm focal length.

As with many of my images, I've only lightly processed and decided against cropping primarily as there are o many wonderful little galaxies scattered around the image, I think it provides a lovely context.
