Description

The Orion Nebula (also known as Messier 42, M42, or NGC 1976) is a diffuse nebula situated in the Milky Way, being south of Orion's Belt in the constellation of Orion. The Orion Nebula contains a very young open cluster, known as the Trapezium due to the asterism of its primary four stars. Two of these can be resolved into their component binary systems on nights with good seeing, giving a total of six stars. The stars of the Trapezium, along with many other stars, are still in their early years.

I took two sets of data using different exposure lengths (20 and 60 seconds)

B = 30 X 20 = 10min
G = 34 X 20 = 11min 30sec
Ha = 30 X 20 = 10min
R = 31 X 20 = 10min 20sec
20s Total = 41min 50sec

B = 20 X 60 = 20min
G = 19 X 60 = 19min
Ha = 20 X 60 = 20min
R = 19 X 60 = 19min
60s T = 1hour 18min

Total Image Integration Time = 1h 59min 50sec
