Description

SH2-132 The Lion Nebula -
Processed using the SHO palette.
The revision has 20 hours of integration, this last 5 hours added more detail to the fainter regions of the nebula.
I was also a little more careful using the processes in PixInsight.

Sh2-132 is an faint emission nebula located in the constellation of Cepheus at a distance of 10.000 LY from Earth.
It can be found on the southern edge of the constellation, near the border with Lizard, along the plane of the Milky Way.
The main components of this emission nebula are hydrogen and oxygen gases, which are stimulated to a high energy state by ultra violet light from nearby stars and subsequently re-emit the light.
