Lagoon Nebula Region and Surroundings! There is A LOT going on in this picture.

This capture was made over two nights and combines data captured in RGB and with a 7nm HA filter. The filter added some information, and I found it VERY difficult to integrate these data in a way that looked even remotely decent. The fact that the captures were taken with different focal lengths contributed to the difficulty.

The RGB capture was taken with a modified Canon T3i and a vintage Pentax 135mm lens at f/4.5. It consisted of 105 frames of 180 seconds each, totaling a little over 5 hours of exposure time.

The HA capture included about 60 frames of 180 seconds each, using the same camera and a Canon 85mm lens at f/4.5.

Esta captura foi realizada em duas noites e integra dados capturados em RGB e com filtro de HA 7nm. O filtro adicionou um pouco de informação, e achei MUITO difícil integrar estes dados de maneira que ficasse minimamente decente. O fato das capturas terem sido com distâncias focais diferentes contribuiu para a dificuldade.

A captura em RGB foi realizada com uma canon t3i astromodificada e uma lente pentax 135mm vintage, em f 4.5. Foram 105 frames de 180s, pouco mais de 5 horas.

A captura em HA incluiu cerca de 60 frames de 180s, com a mesma câmera, e uma lente Canon 85mm em f4.5.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
