Description

I decided to revisit some data I collected last season on the Bubble Nebula.  At the time, I was still struggling a bit with all the "new" processing techniques to learn while making the transition from OSC to Mono.   Still lots to learn today, but I'd learned enough to know my original processing attempt left much on the table.  This time around, I stretched each NB channel separately while working to keep the background levels consistent, then began working with SHO combinations and star removal.  I was inspired by the colors achieved by Luca Marinelli through color mapping and set out to do something similar.

I did some side-by-side comparison of StarNet2 and Star XTerminator applied after combining channels vs before combining channels (still not sure which I prefer in my workflow).  In this instance SXT applied after combination did a better job overall (but not perfect - still had to retouch a few areas in PS).

I decided to try using PixelMath to combine them using the "dynamic combination" method as described at The Coldest Nights which I think worked out very close to what I was shooting for (at least it did for my data).  Stars were added back from RGB data aquired from a dark site.
