Description

The Seahorse Nebula is a dark nebula found in Cepheus. The surrounding interstellar Milky Way dust only partially obscures the colorful background of stars. This particular image was separated into stars and starless images using StarXTerminator in the linear state;  nebulosity color was not manipulated during conventional histogram stretching, so I was surprised by  the resulting richness of colors of both the background and the nebulosity.  Finally, imaging was done approaching and at full moon, so I was additionally surprised by the nebulosity detail despite the lunar light pollution and wildfire smoke haze.

Title: Improved MureDenoise, Improved Luminance image

Description: I was never happy with the color or the amount of "noise" in the first version -the original was shortly after converting to mono. I know for a fact I was not using MureDenoise properly, and the previous luminance image was over-processed. The 2nd version used a "super-Lum" integrating the LRGB for use as the Luminance image, and then separated stars from starless and thoughtfully stretched both before rescreening together in the non-linear state.

Title: 3rd try same data - I think I need about 10 more hours of luminance data!

Description: Never really happy with the first two versions, and it came back to over-stretching with inadequate data. Still not satisfied, but a bit better compared to the 2nd version.
