Description

Ngc2403 (also known by the initials C7) is a spiral galaxy located in the constellation of the Giraffe, it is relatively close to our solar system (about 8 million light years). Despite a magnitude of 8.9 it is very weak and its spirals need long poses to resolve. Its shape and composition is very reminiscent of the Triangolo galaxy (m33), in fact in its core there are large areas of ionized hydrogen (HII) which favor the birth of young star systems. Although the focal length is not exactly suitable, the result is satisfactory thanks to a 2x drizzle which helped the recovery of fine details.
