Description

Well, almost everything is in the title.
A very basic set-up : second hand C6 + Celestron reducer 0.63x giving a f/7.1 ratio, a partially unfiltered Canon 77D and 50 min left before clouds were coming in again. The 1 min subs were quite noisy at 1600 iso but I could keep 48 of 51, seeing was excellent, PHD guiding RMS around 0.45" (which is good for my old AZ-EQ6 which is left outside for nine years now with only a cover and  did not check for polar alignment for more than two years). I had to crop strongly, the Celestron reducer was not concieved for APS-C sensors.
I did not exaggerate with BXT, neither on the stars nor on the nebula itself. With more exposure time more details could have been revealed. M97 is less boring at it seems at first glance but you need to collect photons in order to reveal the suble grey levels. This might be done for another time when weather conditions will be more appropriate.
