Description

NGC 281 - The Pacman Nebula (also known as IC 11 and Sh2-184) is a bright emission nebula in the Cassiopeia constellation and part of the Perseus Arm of the Milky Way galaxy.

This nebula was discovered by Edward Emerson Barnard in 1883. He described it as "a large faint nebula, very diffuse"
