Description

NGC 6888 is an emission nebula not far from Sadr in the constellation Cygnus. A fast moving stellar wind from WR 136 interacts with material it has previously ejected, creating the beautiful texture and structures.

It was a real treat to work with this data - the RASC Robotic Telescope captured 11.5 hours each of Ha and OIII, and 45 minutes total of RGB stars. I may have over-stretched the OIII data in relation to the Ha data. BlurXterminator worked MAGIC on this image, bringing out a huge amount of detail within the narrowband data. A big thanks to the RASC imaging team!
