Description

I wanted to image some of the dark dust areas around the middle of the Milky Way, so I picked out the Snake Nebula.  This image was different to process, mainly due to the star density.  It was basically like processing a globular cluster that filled the entire frame as the stars were so dense.  In fact, it would take NINA about 30 seconds to do the PSF and count the stars on each sub- exposure.

I like the extremely dark dust area that has no stars between that area and earth.  Also, it is interesting to see the the star color shift to a more reddish tone due to the faint dust on the left hand side of the image.
