Description

Hello friends,

this is first light of my Astro Physics QUAD TCC for the TEC140. Objects like NGC 1499 were the reasons I have got it. Combined with the ASI 6200 the FOV is gigantic. Unfortunately the weather is terrible - like in many locations currently- and limits the observation time. I had only two nights of decent clear sky. Moreover the shots were taken at 98% pf moon illumination. Also I had bad luck and lost 6 hours of data, since the ASI stopped responding at midnight. Well, shit happens.

Currently you see a lot of marvelous images of NGC 1499. So I wanted to do it a bit different. I I started this project with following constraints:
1. Keep the color of the stars
2. Do not over do it with the NB colors (avoid Candy Land)
3. Reveal details
4. Avoid over processing
5. Use full resolution and shoot at Bin1

I am very happy with the result. I had to shrink it by a third and use jpg since the png was about 120MB.

PS: After my mount came back from repair also the unguided performance is back. All images were taken unguided. All frames were usable.
