Description

1,500 light years away in the constellation Auriga is the Flaming Star Nebula (also known as IC405 or C31), which is both an emission and reflection nebula, composed of ionized-hydrogen and molecular clouds reflecting light from the star AE Aurigae. The Flaming Star Nebula is part of an interesting region that contains various catalogued objects nearby. I plan to continue imaging the area to compile a 4 panel mosaic that highlights some of the surrounding objects.
