Description

This object is a rarely imaged dark nebula located 1800 light years away in the constellation of Cygnus at a declination of +46 degrees. The nebula spans about 20 arc-minutes in our apparent view, which corresponds to a width of 10 light years. Like most dark nebula, not much has been written about this object.

I like the contrast in color of the orange/brown dark nebula with the reddish star field towards the left and bottom edges. The few images I found of this object did not contain as much red, so I checked my calibration several times. But I think that the reddish hue is really there, so I left it in.
