Description

The Flybat and Squid are interesting in that the Squid was only discovered in 2011. According to NASA Science, the Squid "would represent a spectacular outflow driven by HR8119, a triple system of hot, massive stars seen near the center of the nebula". They suggest that "OU4 does really lie within SH2-129, although the true distance is difficult to determine".  I found this very difficult to process because to me,  the Squid seemed to be totally hidden behind the strong Ha of the Bat.  I was only able to capture it in this photo by stretching the OIII layer and then merging/masking it into the Ha layer.  But it was exciting to see it appear in the photo!
