Description

This is a very difficult object to image I have found. Quite simple and easy to get to the core however the outskirts are a whole different story. I've worked on this image for about 3 weeks now, just gradually adding data to see how it goes and I am finally happy with the result. 8 hours and 25 mins collected over 3 nights dodging the weather around me. About 3 hours of it was taken in dark skies at Bortle 1 which helped get the faint stuff out.

I have looked at this image really closely as I have been making it and there is one thing that perplexes me. There is a tiny Sii pocket down in the bottom left-hand corner. It's really faint and it only started showing up at around the 6-hour mark. As I used the SHO palette, it was easy to identify it as a Sii object. I would love to know what it actually is. At first, I wondered if it was some sort of artifact in my images that my flats hadn't corrected however I have managed to identify it in other images of the area. I guess further research will reveal its nature.
