Description

One of my favorite targets in the night sky.

The Rosette Nebula is a large cloud of gas and dust approximately 5,200 light years away, near the Monoceros molecular cloud.

The nebula contains regions of active star formation and spans roughly 130 light years across.

Technical Details:

Telescope: Skywatcher Esprit 80 ED

Camera: ZWO ASI 1600MM

Filters: Astrodon Ha 5nm, OIII 5nm and SII 5nm

Mount: Skywatcher AZ-EQ6

Guidescope: Sky-Watcher Evoguide ED APO 50mm

Guidecam: ZWO ASI 290M

Processed using PixInsight, PS, LR and Starnet++

Capture Software: SGP Pro and PHD2

HA = 78 x 300s

OIII = 85 x 300s

SII = 41 x 300s
