Description

Very bright emission nebula, located at around 6000 LY, with in its heart the region NGC 896 which houses many young and massive stars, which illuminate all the space around (constellation of Cassiopeia).

The OIII radiation being relatively strong, also in the direction of Melotte 15 forming the center of the Hearth Nebula, the choice of the right false color composition is difficult, linked to a strong gradient in luminance.

The HSO image has gained precision with a luminance layer essentially composed of the master Ha. Total duration : 12,6 h.

The PIXINSIGHT 'Staralignment - Thin Plat Splines' feature greatly facilitated the blending of images from both optics (Tak FSQ-106 and TEK 140), with perfectly precise stars right up to the edge of the images.

GraXpert has contributed to a more homogeneous image background, but this application requires very careful positioning of the dot grid on dark spaces, otherwise the correction is clearly too strong.

BlurXterminator, version 4 helps a little, but if the quality of the images, respectively of the stars is good, its contribution is minimal.

NoiseXterminator seems to me to be the most effective R-C function: very impressive how the details are saved after processing the noise reduction, if the quality of the images is good.

After a few nebulae at very low light, the processing of the Fish head was a little easier, but I really like the composition of the Ha - OIII - SII layers, and the gain in precision by Ha after the color processing.
