Description

One of the few Messier eye-candies not really visibile from up north, in fact the most southernly of the galaxies in the epinomous catalog. One would think that from one of darkest place on Earth you wouldn't have to fight gradients and one would be wrong. Instead it was gradient galore, possibly worse then in my home Bortle 6/7 skies. After fighting them off I managed to achive a reasonable flatness overall, as most of the shenanigans are hidden in the shadows. The R channel is enriched by an additional layer of H-alpha, as the title would transpire.

The green "tail" shown in some of the brightest stars is a little tracking issue with the green channel that I haven't be able to remove completely.
