Description

This is about 7 hrs HSO from the night before last. I hoped to get another 7-8 hrs last night but the seeing was not good. FWHM was over 3 - 3x3 pixels or over 3". So, I gave up and processed what I had. Stars are color corrected HSO too. No time for RGB. 1200 second subs.

I discovered why my image calibration was having issues. I use my ASI6200mm for imaging and ASI1600mm for guiding with an ONAG. There is an issue with the Ascom driver for the cameras where the imaging camera can switch to guider somewhat randomly. Many of my calibration frames were taken with the wrong camera. This doesn't happen if both cameras are connected. But, I would usually have the guider disconnected for calibration frames. The solution is to connect both or unplug the USB cable from the guider. I also read that some use the native driver for one camera. I need Ascom to share the cameras with Focuslock/Skyguard so I can't use that method.

FYI - I have been post processing on my laptop. It has a fast processor but poor, washed out screen. Out at my dark site, I have a new PC and monitor with excellent resolution. I was able to process on that machine this time.  It is amazing the difference. I'm not sure I want to bring up some of my recent images on the new PC...I may spend days reprocessing them....ha
