Description

Well, I started this project on December 18th at the suggestion of a fellow astrophotographer that lives here in St. Louis, Tony Johnson (https://www.astrobin.com/users/starry_night_observer/). He and I were trading message and he said I should give this target a run with the large aperture on the C11. The first night started out pretty well and then the clouds rolled in permanently...at least it felt like it. I was able to squeeze out a number of nights over the last 6 weeks with a few having "seeing" that was not optimal. Time to put this one to bed.

This target was incredibly difficult being almost 14th magnitude and 300 million light-years away in light polluted skies. On a side note, this is the first image that I did not use dark frames. I have been dithering for some time now and I've concluded they do not make any difference when I process my images.

Let me know what you think Tony
