Description

I found this data while testing a new lens on my DSLR.  Last year at the BFSP at Cherry Springs I was using my TPO 180 scope for the first time, without a clue as to how a DSLR works for astrophotography.  (I got into this hobby backwards--I started out with an ASI294MC Pro) I found 44, 3-minute sub exposures on the memory card last night so I thought I'd stack it and see what came out.

For being only light frames from a DSLR with ZERO calibration frames, I'm quite pleased with the results!  The FOV this ultra-wide telescope can achieve is quite impressive.  Sure, it's kind of blown out but the view of the Horsehead, Running Man, Flame, and Orion in one panel is pretty awesome.  I have since upgraded this scope to a more automated system complete with EAF and ASI183MC Pro. I can't wait to see what I get (if I can ever be home when there's a clear night...) The TPO is quickly becoming one of my favorite telescopes in my arsenal.
