Description

You ever wake up and just say what a week I am having!  This image has been a huge challenge and mostly because of me.  First night I captured about 5 hours of data using my UV/IR cut filter, but I guess my skies aren't dark enough for an emission nebula as I had very little detail or color.  Second night I captured about 7 hours of data with my NB filter (much better), but lost 2 hours due to clouds rolling in.  Also, I had some strange streaky noise in my first stake.  Figured out is was bad darks, so I had to make 30 more 5 minute darks (a 2 1/2 process).  Also, I forgot to switch my Autorun capture from Flats to Lights and  FYI, I just learned that the ASIAir Pro only dithers when Lights are selected, so my dithering was disabled, so I still have more noise than I would like.  Then last night, I captured 175 2 minutes exposures (shortened up the time, it was pretty gusty) and they were looking great, stars were round and dithering was going great, but somehow I overrode and lost all my images, I still have no idea what I did.  Anyway here is my current Lion Nebula ran with new darks, just the NB images.  You can kind of see the lion, head to the left, tail to the right.

This nebula AKA Sparpless 2-132 is in the constellation Cepheus and is around 1,700 light years from our solar system.

Description: Someone provided me a link that helped me restore 90 of my exposures from the other night that were deleted from my USB drive. I incorporated these into my image train and I think it did help get a little more detail.
