Description

I had some difficulties taming this beast. Now after processing some of my late October and November data, I definitely prefer the hot nights of the summer. It seams that there is a constant thin layer of high altitude clouds hanging around this fall. Seeing never was great and guiding just OK. Of the over 100 subs I took during several nights, many have egg form stars. Maybe a target to revisit next year...

The Lion Nebula is located in the constellation Cepheus at approximately 10,000 to 12,000 LY distance from Earth. It is a faint emission nebula mainly composed of ionized Hydrogen Alpha and Oxygen 3 gases. 2 Wolf-Rayet stars and a large number Type-O and Type-B star populate this area. A few Dark Nebulas are present as well. The tinny faint blue Planetary Nebula off to the right of Leo named PN G101.5-00.6 was unfortunately processed out due to my bad stars.
